Well, let’s see: the European Transport Safety Council (ETSC) has revealed that the number of people killed in Dublin city dropped by 70 per cent between 1997 and 2007.
Out of the EU 27, Ireland is now 4th in terms of road safety with only Sweden, Netherlands and Malta ahead of us.
