HSE South Public Health Director, Dr Elizabeth Keane said yesterday it was important people continued to either handwash or use wipes to prevent the spread of the illness which has to date claimed sixteen lives in the Republic and thirteen lives in the North, reports the Times.
That’s 29 deaths. Population of Ireland? Six million.
People in flooded areas probably have more pressing matters on their minds than swine flu. Such as being knee deep in sewage.
